”@”@Since 2001, English is included in the formal elementary curriculum. According to the curriculum, English should be taught in a natural and pleasant environment to enhance the interest and ability of student. From the questionnaire we conducted to our classmates, we learned that most of them had English lessons before entering our school. Moreover, our school demands us to read English Magazine everyday; therefore, every student has certain English capability.

”@”@We have chosen Studio Classroom Magazine as our subject because it is in the neighborhood of some of our teammates. Ms. Doris Brougham, the founder, has dedicated herself in the field of English education for decades and is dully dubbed the English teacher of twenty three million Taiwanese..

Project Outline

”@”@The reason we chose Studio Classroom as our subject is not only because the office is in our neighborhood, but also because Dr. Doris Brougham has been dedicating herself on English education. We interviewed the staff of the magazine and perused through books. Through our daily reading of the magazine, we came to know Ms. Brougham, the highly respected English teacher in Taiwan.

Our challenges
”@”@During September 2008 and February 2009, we made several interviews which we had studied related information very hard before going and had Dr. Brougham checked our drafts afterwards. We were very nervous, afraid that we would not do well. While we were making the English recordings, we had revised the text several times and redo the recording twice.

”@”@To present a thorough content of this project, we used many different resources. For example, interview, photos, recordings, books, periodicals, website, music and etc. We carefully used each resource and based on the policy of copy right and quotation rules. Other than the photos taken by our instructors and students, we would like to thank Dr. Doris Brougham for providing us with related pictures and for her authorization. The rights of the pictures and photos used belong to the original makers.
