It’s not surprising that the Ming Hwa Yuan performs in the National Theater, Taipei Municipal Social Education Hall, County Culture Centers and universities and colleges. Chen Sheng-fu, the current chief of the Ming Hwa Yuan, explores other types of special stages for the Ming Hwa Yuan to perform, such as jails, hospitals and construction sites.
To salary nearly a hundred troupers and technicians while maintaining the quality of equipments, Chen takes the initiative to explore new territories for the Ming Hwa Yuan to perform.

For example, ten years ago, while the real estate market was still booming, Chen talked to a boss of a construction site. He said that regular construction site show（gong-di show）often involved strip dance, the crowd may just come and go because they simply feel too embarrassed to stay there to take a further look of the construction site. Then he analyzed the advantages of the Ming Hwa Yuan might bring to the construction site. He successfully persuaded the boss to invite the Ming Hwa Yuan to promote their business by playing Taiwanese Opera at the construction site. Because of the advertisements in newspapers, many people flocked to see the Ming Hwa Yuan, and of course, the construction company was very satisfied with the result.
In 1991, the Ming Hwa Yuan did press-agentry to propagate the importance of invoices for Taxation Agency, Ministry of Finance, R.O.C. Thus, everyone, including elder citizens who couldn’t understand Mandarin, never forgets to ask for invoices when buying things.
On Feb 2, 2005, we joined the recruitment of the MRT Volunteers with Ms. Suen. As an ambassador of the MRT, she reminds passengers to be aware of their safety when they travel by the MRT. Miss Suen also help recruit volunteers to serve passengers of the MRT. Many people were attracted to come volunteering just because of Suen Tsuei-feng! Miss Suen’s irresistible charm is really amazing!
