The first baseball field in Taiwan was in the 228 memorial park in Taipei. It was built and started to use in 1907. In 1918, the Japanese established baseball field in Jiayi, which was known as the best baseball field at that time.

The baseball field of Taiwan started from rice paddy to the now several internationally standard fields. Through the explanations of Mr. Yeh Kuo Whey and our instructors, we realized how hard Mr. KCH had worked from scratch to a brand new standard baseball field.。

The baseball field should be formed as a fan shape. The contest started from the home base. The infield’s shape is like a diamond surrounded by the first, second, and the third base.
The distance in each base is 90 feet long. From the pitcher to the home base, it is about 60 feet and 6 inches long. It is emphasized that the range from the home base to each side of the home run wall should be more than 325 feet long. And the space of the center field should be more than 400 feet.
