According to the rules announced by the Chinese Taipei baseball association, the center of the baseball is made by cork, rubber or similar material; rolled by silk string; wrapped and sewed by two pieces of horse or cow leather. The weight of the ball should be more than 5 ounces, and the diameter should be around 9 to 9.25 inches.。
The Difference
Hard ball
(Phto by team members)

The heart of the hard baseball is made from cork or rubber, wrapped by yarn in the exterior, and wrapped by cow leather in the surface.
The soft baseball is made from hollow rubber.
During the 1948-1960, adult baseball players used the soft baseballs, but they changed to hard baseballs in the end. After 1969, the balls of the mainstream baseball world have turned to the hard ones, so it is not easy to see any games played by soft baseballs nowadays.
