After the Kansai League was beaten by the Maple Leaf Little League Baseball team in 1968, the baseball movement in Taiwan was initiated. In the following year, the Golden Dragons (Jin-Long) team led by Mr. Hsieh Kuo-Cherng defeated the West District team of the US and won the Championship of the World Little League Series. When the little heroes of the Golden Dragons came back from the US, they were welcomed as national heroes by half a million fanatic Taipei residents then. Their honorable achievement encouraged Taiwan baseball world and helped them move to the international stage. Afterwards, including the Seven Tigers team, the Giants team, and the Li-De team etc also marched for Williamsport and surged several waves of baseball hot tides.

In this unit, we interviewed some seniors of our teammate, Wang Rong-Qi, and hoped to find out how persistent of Mr. Hsieh Kuo-Cherng in promoting baseball movement.
