Mr. Hsieh Nan-Qiang followed in the footsteps of his father

　　In 1969, Mr. KCH led the Golden Dragons, first winning the Pacific Regional Preliminary, then conquering the Williamsport. In the predawn of January 24, firecrackers were fired all over Taiwan. At the same moment, Golden Dragon ignited the passion for baseball in Taiwan. The team members can still recall clearly how Mr. Hsieh Nan Quiang, the president of Pioneer Electronics, was summoned by his father, Mr. KCH, to do the washings for the little players and even helped to take them to the Disney World.
　　Mr. Hsieh Nan Quiang, the eldest son of Mr. KCH, was born in Tokyo, received Doctorate degree from UCLA.

　　In 1990, Mr. Hsieh Kuo-Cherng’s oldest son, Dr. Hsieh Nan-Qiang set up the Hsieh Kuo-Cherng culture and education foundation of baseball in order to carry on his father’s unfulfilled wishes and invigorate the baseball activities in Taiwan. By holding the Little League and the Senior League championships tournaments every year, the foundation hopes to elevate the level of baseball skills among players and also make baseball more and more popular than ever.

Supporting Baseball Teams

　　 Besides the annual KCH Baseball Tournament to keep promoting baseball sport, KCH Foundation also give out shcolarships to schools that are outstanding in baseball. In 2007, the Foundation donated 3000 baseballs to the teams who are short in budgets to encourage the young players to further achievement. Mr. Hsieh Nan Qiang also helped in financing Taichuang Li Shing Baseball Team for their trip to Williamsport in 2007.

　　During the interview, we felt that Dr. Hsieh was deeply lost about the adult baseball’s poor performance compared to the glory of the triple crowns era. However, we believe that his worries about the baseball activities will motivate him to work hard in promoting this sport.
