Wong Ron-Qi

As the great grand child of the father of Little League, Wang Ron-Qi was fascinated to baseball when he was in the fifth grade, and his mother told him the way his great grand father treated to other people and dealt with things.
He said, I did not understand the rules of baseball nor experienced the true fun of playing it when I was young, but since I started to participate the interviews and researches last year, I gradually found how mighty my great grand father was. Now I am very proud to be his great grand child, and I will do all I can to promote baseball activities in the future.

Wu Yu-Sheng

Since I was a little boy, I love baseball with no reason. It is also this strong feeling toward baseball forced me to attend this research.
During the homepage producing days, we interviewed some famous people in the baseball world. The most unforgettable thing for me is to let the well-known coach Ye Guo-Hui teaching us how to hit balls. Coach Ye revised our movements, taught us how to swing, and made my skills get ahead. It is really fun!

Yang Bo-Han

I started to enjoy watching baseball games after the super idol, Wang Chien-Ming showed up in the sports world. Once in a while, I chat with my friends about baseball on the net. After joining the innocent baseball team of the DaZhi high school, I understand more about the history and spirit of baseball through many researches and discussions. What touch me most are the endeavors done by some organizations and people. I hope the spirit of baseball could be enhanced and glorified on campus, and become an “all people sport” one day.

Xu Hui-Ping

In this homepage producing project, I was assigned to find the material related to Mr. Hsieh Kuo-Cherng. At first, I thought it would be very easy just by surfing on Google or Yahoo and typed “Hsieh Kuo-Cherng”, then I would get very detailed information about him. However, it was not that easy, because much document on net was not suitable, and I had to search and read again and again.
What even more painstaking job were the interviews. Instead of asking things randomly, I had to write down the questions in advance, and took notes carefully while I was listening at the same time. Later on, I had to go through the scripts and prioritize the important parts in order to make our homepage more wonderful. Through this experience, I not only understand more about baseball but also life principles of some famous people. I was really benefited greatly from this experience.

Chen Wei

Studying in Dajhi high school not only makes me some good friends playing balls together but helps training my strong body. Although I am a little skinny, I am muscular and healthy. It is very interesting to contact the baseball world through knowing things about Mr. Hsieh Kuo-Cherng. I am very glad to work on this topic with Mr. Hsieh’s great grand son, and chase the wonderfulness of baseball and the roots of Mr. Hsieh together.

Lin Ting-An

I learned a lot from the lectures of Mr. Xie Shi-Yuan. Despite of the knowledge and history about baseball, I learned a lot background information about 1969. Each interview means a different learning experience to me.

Kuo Jia-Wei

I like to do outdoor activities, and baseball is my favorite. When I was in elementary school, I enjoyed playing HappyBall at school. I am fond of running, passing and catching.
I am very interested in researching the history of baseball in Taiwan. And I admired the Maple Leaf team very much since I saw it in the movies or TV programs. As to talk about Mr. Chien-Ming Wang, I am also very familiar with his everything. I really learned a lot from this experience, and enjoyed doing it very much.

Chen Yin-Han

Because the Glory of Taiwan, Wang Chien-Ming, stirred a tide of baseball in Taiwan, we decided to take baseball as our research topic. We hope to understand the rise and development of baseball activities in Taiwan through this project.
By means of this research, I understand that to promote a sport needs a lot of efforts by many people. Without Mr. Hsieh Kuo-Cherng’s vision, eager devotion, and perseverance, it was not possible to spread baseball in Taiwan. No wonder he was called the Mr. Baseball or the father of Little League Baseball.
