After Chien-Ming Wang stirred a baseball fever in Taiwan, the childhood impression about how I was fascinated with baseball was recalled. At that time, we children used rubber baseball or even balls made by newspapers and the wood stick to have baseball games on the streets. Only when the cars went by, we stopped the game reluctantly. We really hated when the game was interrupted in the middle. When there were important games, I would get up and watch them even in the middle of night. My families were always wakened by me when I shouted and jumped on the sofa to cheer up for Chinese teams. Those profound memories were still very vivid till now.
Under the thorough investigation of these students, we got in depth knowledge about the history of baseball development in Taiwan. Students’ sincere attitude brought a lot professional support such as Coach Ye’s teaching etc. Everyone involved learned a lot from this project. Letting students to learn the pith of research personally is a good experience worth to encourage. In the end, I hope this topic could arouse people to emphasize on baseball activities, and face up to recreational activities further.
