Glass horses

“Wow! How beautiful and distinguished this glass horse is! It’s so adorable!” said by Mr. Hsieh Kuo-Cherng when he was just married. Mr. Hsieh Nan-Qiang told us that it happened right after his father accidentally saw a glass horse in a shop. The horse was so admirable that he was reluctant to give up; however, he was also shocked by the high price. After a long fight within his heart, he decided to buy that valuable horse. It was how Mr. Hsieh got connected with horses.

Besides baseball, Mr. Hsieh Kuo-Cherng was also very fond of collecting glass horses. The amount of his horses was no less than eight hundreds. He even had two custom-made horses playing baseball together. How interesting it is to combine two things he enjoyed together.

In addition to hundreds of glass horses, there is one special thing in Dr. Hsieh Nan-Qiang’s home, a bust of Mr. Hsieh Kuo-Cherng. Dr. Hsieh told us, the glasses put on the portrait were exactly the ones his father wore when he was alive. The face still radiant with the light of pride for the little league teams he led. Although Mr. Hsieh Kuo-Cherng had already left us, his indomitable spirit will accompany with his bust and horses and make people respect and admire.
