In 1914, the famous player of Waseda University Tsuyoshi Iseda helped to form the north part of baseball association and made the charters of the association. It should be the first baseball association appeared in Taiwan. In 1973, the Taiwan Province Baseball Association reformed to be the Chinese Taipei Baseball Association. Mr. Hsieh Kuo-Cherng was the first president of the association. Currently, the president is Mr. Huang Wen-Zhong, and Mr. Lin Zong-Cheng served as the chief secretary.

1. Representing Taiwan in the international baseball events
2.In charge of the national baseball development
3. Hosting national and international baseball events

4. Selecting and organizing national teams to compete in international baseball events
5. Recommend and examine the qualification of teams to compete in international events
6. Inviting and arranging for the visits of foreign teams to Taiwan
7. Registration, training and control of referees and coaches
8. Recommend and examine the qualification of international referees
9. Making baseball rules and clarifying doubts on rules
10. Monitoring baseball equipment, etc.
11. Examine the qualifications of memeber
12. Research and publication of baseball related matters
13. 其他有關棒球運動事項。

In the office of Mr. Lin and Mr. Huang, we saw many autographed balls by famous baseball players, including Chien Ming Wang of Yankee, Hu Chin Long etc.. Amid our “Wow”s, Mr. Lin surprised us by giving an autographed ball of Chien Ming Wang to us as a souvenir. We think this is the best present we could ever expect. Mr. Lin told us about the mission and principle of the association, and exhibited many documents and brochures of the past events. Mr. Lin stressed that without the efforts of Mr. KCH, baseball would not develop so well. To the memory of Mr. KCH, Baseball Association set up the “KCH Cup Tournament”with KCH Foundation in 1981.
