When we asked him is there any future for baseball activities in Taiwan. That following statement was his answer. He said, “The baseball as a sport reached its primetime during the 1970s, and it was quiet until Chien-Ming Wang’s fever recently. However, I hope people are not just watching games in front of TV or become groupies of Wang. I expect baseball can combine with the academia and become easy to access and diverse such as the popular HappyBall etc. Then, students can experience their lives by playing baseball.

Coach Ye wrote a book called “Ye Guo-Hui Talks About Baseball” in 1994. He introduced baseball systematically from various phases in the book and explicitly exhibit the true essence of baseball. He used the metaphor that the pitcher and the catcher are just like a husband and wife in the book. The catcher needs to know the situation of the pitcher at that day. The pitcher supplies each kind of ball, while the catcher understands the players’ likes and dislikes. Thus, the pitcher should be the trouble maker, and be responsible for the outcome of the disorder among the pitcher and the players. In another word, the catcher has to make sure the pitcher’s balls are the dislikes of the players, so the technique of the catcher will definitely affect the pitcher’s performance.
From Mr. Yeh, we can feel how Mr. KCH had influenced the elders of baseball society and leading them to devote their whole life to the sport.
