Doris Brougham Scholarship receipients

English is the most important International language
　　The advanced development of transportation and mass media has made the whole world like a global village. And the interactions between people are more and more frequent. As English is considered the most important common language, Dr. Doris Brougham decided to set up a Scholarship to nurture the talents of media and English in Taiwan.

　　Dr. Brougham informed us that financially, she manages the Studio Classroom with the aim of making enough to pay for the staff. If there is a surplus in the profit, whe would like to help those who are in need. Why is Dr. Doris Brougham Scholarships been set up? It is to help students who want to learn but lack the resources. Dr. Doris Brougham has awarded scholarships with the worth of two million dollars, which usually is over the budget, to qualified students every year.
The basis of Dr. Doris Brougham Scholarship
　　According to the third case passed by the 66th board meeting of ORTV, the Doris Brougham Education Scholarship has applied and approved by government institution in charge.
The qualification for the scholarship includes
Students studying in Taiwan, PengHu, Kinmen, and Matsu met the following standards in the first semester of the academic year and never received the scholarship before can apply for it.
1.Junior High School group: English Grades ranking first three in the school.
2.High School (vocational school) group: English Grades ranking first three in the school and the Conduct grade should be over A.
3.College group: Only for students majoring in Mass Communications or English. The average academic grades should be over 80 points with Conduct grade above A.
4.Graduate School group: Limited to students majoring in Mass Communications or English. The average academic grades should be over 80 points with Conduct grade above A.
The numbers and amount
　　From the interview, we understand the admitted numbers of the scholarship always over the fixed one because Dr. Brougham wants to help more students in need.
1.Junior High school team: 40 in total. NT$3,000 each.
2.High School (vocational school) team: 40 in total. NT$5,000 each.
3.College team: 30 in total. NT$8,000 each.
4.Graduate School team: 4 in total. NT$20,000 each.
