The driving route for warehouse area drawn up by Taipei City Government Department of Transportation
¡@¡@In year 2005, Taipei City Government Department of Transportation announced the change of driving route for Jiutzong Road warehouse area: Since many large-scale warehouses have constantly been opened in Neihu, the traffic here on weekends tends to be quite jammed. In order to make the entire traffic flow here smooth and to meet drivers¡¦ needs on both weekdays and holidays, Department of Transportation would like to invite each retailer in this area, relevant authorities of city government, and neighborhood heads to discuss about the driving route in this area and measures of roadside parking together. |

The Traffic Jam around RT Mart before Chinese New Year
¡@¡@Before Chinese New Year, we would like to count the number of cars that passed RT Mart per minute by using a counter. However, my father¡¦s car was stuck on Ruiguang Road in Neihu and our car could not even make a move. We made a U-turn by using an interval and hardly drove back home.
¡@¡@During Chinese New Year, we visited Jiutzong Road again. Since most people went back to their home in Central and Southern Taiwan, the number of cars was not much in the pictures we took. Therefore, we interviewed a voluntary traffic guard who helped conduct traffic for RT Mart at the entrance of RT. He mentioned that the traffic flow here is quite astonishing in evening rush hour and on weekends since many people would like to have their dinner in warehouse food courts or go shopping in warehouses after they come off work; besides, the interchange of freeway is right near the warehouse area.

The voluntary traffic Guards
¡@¡@The people who are responsible for conducting traffic here are the policemen of Unit 7 in Neihu Police District and the voluntary traffic guards. During rush hours, traffic guards are assigned to conduct traffic on important intersections. In order to avoid traffic congestion on weekends, some roads only allows one-way passage. However, the traffic around Hsinhu 2nd Road, where Costco, Carrefour, RT Mart, B&Q, and TKEC tends to be jammed during rush hour periods. Consequently, the retailers applied to the Voluntary Traffic Guard Division for helping maintain traffic flow by paying voluntary traffic guards.
¡@¡@We should be grateful when seeing those voluntary traffic guards helping maintain traffic flow on each intersection on Jiutzong Road. Were it not for Taipei City Government¡¦s efforts in regulating driving order here, retailers¡¦ attention, and voluntary traffic guards¡¦ devotion, we could have not enjoyed our visit of warehouse area. |
