With the elevation of consuming ability in Neihu, Neihu residents’ life quality and consuming behavior have been transformed obviously. We interviewed the manager of reception, Ms. You-hsuan Hou, and she told us that one of RT Mart’s selling strategies is to bring fresh food of high quality and aristocrat products to the public. For example, cherries are high-priced fruit in traditional market; however, the amount of cherries that RT Mart sells is about one-tenth of that in the whole world. The secret of RT Mart’s operating strategies is to drive the domino effect of shopping. Consumers will buy something else when they buy fresh food here.

Improving service quality to acquire competitive advantage
　　Under the furious competition among warehouse retailers, as the manager of reception in RT Mart, Ms. Hou’s primary duty is to improve service quality to acquire competitive advantage. Effective services are effective in constructing an ideal shopping environment, which may bring more benefits to a corporation.

　　We saw salesclerks helping consumers apply for member cards, broadcast missing, offer coins exchange for carts, and sell coupons at service counter. In addition, various kinds of services are also offered here, such as large luggage deposit, pet deposit, fax, making photocopies, providing baby carriages and wheelchairs.

The first warehouse with disabled facilities in Taiwan
　　Ms. Hou also told us that RT Mart is the first warehouse that provides guide dog service. In 2005, when Mr. Ma Ying-jeou was the mayor of Taipei City, he planned to make Taipei a city with more disabled facilities. There are many disabled facilities in RT Mart’s shopping environment, where guide dogs can guide the blind to shop here.

　　The blind, Mr. Guan-wu Chen’s first shopping trip in RT Mart in Neihu with guide dog, Owen. At that time, there were eleven guide dogs in Taiwan and nine of them lived in Taipei. Mayor Ma made Taipei a place where there are many disabled facilities inside, which allowed guide dogs to have a cozy working environment.

　　Ms. Hou told us that Mr. Guan-wu Chen had wanted to go shopping in a warehouse for a long time, but he was afraid. With the assistance from RT Mart’s salesclerks and guide dog, he can now enjoy the fun of shopping and is very happy.

　　Guide dogs are dogs that work to help the blind. The blind can walk more easily and safely with the assistance of guide dogs. We appreciate RT Mart’s thoughtfulness for offering disabled facilities.
